About Our Charity
Casa Lusa is the charity for Portuguese speakers in the UK. We understand your issues and the challenges you face as a foreign citizen residing in the UK, whether you are experiencing life in the UK temporarily or you have settled for life.
Casa Lusa was established for the public benefit in 2013, registered as a Charity with charity commission in England and Wales, number 1154563. The charity aims to support Portuguese speakers in particular, but not exclusively, to overcome poverty by providing advice, information and support in such matters as welfare rights, education, training for employment, health and wellbeing activities as well as recreation and leisure time occupation, thus creating a platform for inclusion for the most vulnerable in society with the object of improving their conditions of life.
Our vision is to be a platform for inclusion for people from a Portuguese - speaking background, providing support and raising awareness of the needs of the community and its profile in the UK.

This is our affordable beginners sewing course.
We have a qualified teacher to help you as you go along.
You will learn how to sew from scratch and quickly progress to a more accomplished level of sewing In this course you will develop a sound set of sewing machine skills andknowledge of fabrics.
Learn how to wind a bobbin, sew straight lines, curves and corners, finishing seams and lots more. Then take your own measurements and cut a pattern to make your own skirt and much more.

Thanks to the Magic Little Grants from Local giving, we are pleased to run a series of 3 all day walks in and around London.
If the word exercise scares you, you may like walking instead.
This is a new programe of all day walks with regular breaks and picnic for people to enjoy the countryside while making exercise. Join us for a great day out.
